DirecTV buys ‘Oz’ and ‘Deadwood’
DirecTV's 101 Network has bought the rights to 'Oz' and 'Deadwood', the made-for-television HBO dramas. Both shows will begin airing on Sunday nights starting May 31. The dramas will also be offered through DirecTV's on-demand service.
'Deadwood' will run at 9 pm followed by 'Oz' at 10 pm. The shows will run unedited, without commercials and in high definition.
'Deadwood', starring Ian McShane and Timothy Olyphant, has been nominated for the Emmy and Golden Globe awards several times.
